Overlander
Since 1984, Discovery’s Overlander programs have served low-risk committed delinquent youth ranging in ages 13 to 18 years old in long-term residential wilderness camp and wilderness expedition settings.
Overlander programs target the factors that put students at great risk of becoming chronic offenders upon their return to the community. Length of stay ranges from 60 to 90 days and consists of wilderness-based residential programming.
Student Profile
Committed delinquent males ages 12 to 18 years old from throughout the State of Florida. Students typically have committed offenses ranging from first and second-degree misdemeanors to third degree felonies, are in good health and have are assessed as low risk to public safety.

Major funding sources for Overlander programs emerge from state governments, local school district, Title I, and the National School Board Lunch and Breakfast program and contributions from individual donors.
